Full Story Here:
WASHINGTON DC – Five members of Congress have been arrested while protesting the expulsion of aid groups from Darfur in front of the Sudanese Embassy in Washington.
They were among eight people led away in handcuffs Monday after crossing a police line.
They urged world leaders to take a stand against Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir's decision to expel 16 aid agencies from Darfur, where the United Nations says up to 300,000 people have died in fighting that began more than six years ago.
The arrested U.S. Lawmakers are Democratic Reps. Keith Ellison of Minnesota, Jim McGovern of Massachusetts, John Lewis of Georgia, Donna Edwards of Maryland and Lynn Woolsey of California.
My Comments:
1. Proof the news media is totally biased. If these were Republicans the story would run for weeks and the Dems would demand they be impeached from Congress.
2. Exactly what the hell do these and other idiots want from the United States? We are NOT the world Police Force. We have enough damn problems right here in America. Are we to enter another war and let American men and women die, when even neighboring countries don't care about Darfur? Or, maybe these stupid Liberals would like us to admit the Darfur poor and oppressed as immigrants to the USA so we can have more uneducated, unskilled people with no jobs, no health insurance, and no English.
